A Collaborative, Attachment-Based Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of clinical experience, practicing since 2009. I work primarily with adults and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship and intimacy concerns, low self-esteem, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and attachment-focused. A central part of my work involves helping clients understand how early relationships and childhood experiences shape their emotional patterns, self-worth, and relationships today. Many current struggles—such as difficulty trusting others, fear of abandonment, people-pleasing, or emotional disconnection—often have roots in early attachment experiences. By bringing awareness to these patterns, clients can begin to create healthier, more secure ways of relating to themselves and others.
A Thoughtful Approach to Understanding, Care, & Change
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I have received experiential training in both modalities. I am currently in the final stages of completing my EMDR certification. My work integrates insight with practical tools, helping clients not only understand their experiences but also process and heal from them in a meaningful way.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Texas and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. I have also completed experiential training through the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and hold a certificate in Anger Resolution Therapy. My professional background includes extensive work with trauma survivors, adolescents, and adults.
