Individual Therapy Sessions
Many individuals with ADHD have what is often described as a “fast” or highly active brain—one that can struggle with sustained attention or organization, yet may excel in creativity, intuition, problem-solving, and energy. When the brain is under-supported or overstimulated, symptoms can feel overwhelming. When it is properly understood and supported, many individuals with ADHD are able to thrive.

How therapy process works
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I work from a brain-informed, strengths-based approach to ADHD treatment. Therapy focuses on helping clients understand how their brain functions, reduce negative self-talk, and develop practical strategies for focus, organization, emotional regulation, and impulse control. We also work on identifying and addressing co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or low self-esteem, which often accompany ADHD.
A key part of treatment is learning how to support the brain and the nervous system, while also recognizing and harnessing the positive traits often associated with ADHD, such as creativity, enthusiasm, intuition, and high energy. Rather than trying to “fix” ADHD, therapy helps you learn how to work with your brain in ways that support success, balance, and fulfillment.
With understanding, skill-building, and support, adolescents and adults with ADHD can move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling empowered—developing lives that reflect both their strengths and their goals.
